Stephen Schembri is the Principal of Schembri & Co and is an accomplished lawyer who is able to provide a broad range of legal expertise to his clients. As well as managing his own files, as Principal he also oversees the management of all other solicitors’ files within the firm.

Prior to Stephen’s admission to the Supreme Court as a Barrister and Solicitor in 1998, Stephen was a member of the Victoria Police from 1988 until 1997.

In 1993, Stephen joined the Prosecutions Division of the Victoria Police where he gained experience in the prosecution of a variety of criminal and traffic related matters before resigning in 1997 to pursue his legal career.

Stephen Schembri was admitted to practice nearly 20 years ago. Upon admission he began his career at Connery & Partners where he gained experience in the areas of Criminal Law, Intellectual Property, Commercial Litigation and Insurance Litigation, including Public Liability and Professional Indemnity claims.

In 2003 Stephen established his own law firm Schembri & Co Lawyers.

Stephen prides himself on providing practical solutions and straightforward advice to clients. He is acutely aware of the stress, both financially and emotionally, that legal matters can cause to clients. His pragmatic and professional approach, coupled with this understanding, allows him to find the best possible solution for each individual case.
